Effie is survived by her two sons and their families: Chick Piper and wife Rita of Wilsonville, AL, her grandchildren Cory and Amy (Piper) Harvard and Katie Piper, and her great grandchildren JR, Cali, and Cooper Harvard. Chuck Piper of Moody, AL, grandchildren, Angie & Jason Simmons, great grandchildren, Kayla Foote, Will, Morgan and Drake Simmons. Siblings: Charles Scott, Betty Darden, Cathern Hinkle, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation is Thursday, from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. Graveside service will be held at Forest Crest Cemetery in Irondale at 2:00 pm. Brother Mike Miller will be officiating.
Effie Marie was a kind, loving, and gentle soul who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
