EWING, ELLIS V. JR. “JUNEBUG”, age 64 of Pinson, passed away Thursday, June 29, 2017. He was preceded in death by his father, Ellis V. Ewing, Sr.; uncles, Calvin and Robley “Pod” Ewing; sister-in-law, Carole Ewing; and cousin, Carolyn Stallings. He is survived by his sons, Jeremy D. Ewing (Charena) and Jason Vance Ewing (Jennifer); daughters, Lenora A Cicero (Jeff), Laurie Michelle Balmer (Daniel) and Katie Lynn Wiggins (Benjamin); mother, Darlene Ewing; brothers, Steven John Ewing and Michael Wayne Ewing (Teresa); sister, Elyse Henderson; grandchildren, Miranda Leigh Ewing, Andrea Shirley Michelle Ewing, Riley Grace McAlpine, Kaydance Wiggins and Eli Logan Balmer; and a host of nieces and nephews. Junebug loved Alabama football, bass fishing and military history. His family will receive friends on Monday, July 3, 2017 from 1-2 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with his service beginning at 2 PM. Burial will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
