Eloise R Sanders

Eloise Roberts Sanders, of Birmingham, passed away on December 27, 2019. She is survived by her children, Cathy Sanders Gaylord, Tim Sanders (Keri) and Cindy Sanders Lambert; grandchildren Amy Gaylord Talley (Brian), Ashley Lambert Mason (Lester), Andrea Gaylord Lipham (Neyland), Allison Sanders Gaskins (Alan), Whitney Sanders, and seven great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, Loomis Roberts & Edna Lane Roberts, and her husband Thurman E. Sanders, Sr.

Eloise was a graduate of Woodlawn High School and lifelong member of Huffman United Methodist Church. A trailblazer in her accounting career, Eloise rose to a management position with CMMC until retirement. Serving her community as a founding member and officer of the Eastern Women’s Committee of 50, she helped raise a substantial amount of money for The Liz Moore Low Vision Center and Jefferson State Community College scholarship funds. She served on the Women’s Auxiliary of The Salvation Army and as a board member of the Southlake HOA.

After becoming a grandmother, she was lovingly referred to as “Weese”. She was a visionary in creating and decorating for family celebrations and charitable events. She was most passionate about her family and her beloved four legged companions.

A graveside service will be held Monday, December 30, 2019, Elmwood Cemetery, at 2:00 P.M.
