Ethelene S. Serio age 88 of Birmingham, Al. passed away peacefully on Saturday August 26, 2017. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph Anthony Serio Sr. Mrs. Serio retired from the Social Security Department with 30 years of service and was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Survivors include her daughters JoAnne Penda (David) and Susan McBride, her son Joseph Anthony Serio Jr., 6 Grandchildren and 6 Great Grandchildren. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday August 30, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel with visitation one hour prior to services with a committal service to follow at Highland Memorial Gardens.
