Eva Lanier Sharp of Trussville, Alabama completed her earthly list on Sunday, October 18, 2020. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. Eva was born in Birmingham, Alabama on June 28, 1929 to Samuel Barney Lanier and Priscilla Carden Lanier. She graduated from Woodlawn High School and attended Shorter College on a music scholarship for one semester before returning home to marry Sam Douglas Sharp.
Eva worked at Hayes Aircraft, the Speech and Hearing Center, the Birmingham Board of Education Athletic Department and South Highland Hospital. After retirement, Eva took up painting and enjoyed painting birds and flowers and sharing her art with her friends and family. She was a faithful, lifelong member of East Lake United Methodist Church where she participated in the choir from her teenage years until last March, as well as the altar guild, and the Alma Boggan Sunday School Class.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Sam Douglas Sharp, sisters, Ann Kilgore, Dorothy Segars and Ruth Nixon.
