Ewell H. Temples

Temples, Ewell H., age 89 of Trussville, Al passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2012. Ewell loved his family and truly lived by the Golden Rule and always wanted to be remembered as a “good old country boy”. He retired from Ryder Truck Lines after 32 years and was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Trussville for 46 years. He was proud to be a US Army veteran of WWII who served in the Asiatic Pacific. He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Nora Griffin Temples; parents, William and Bertie Houston Temples; a sister, Naida Temples; and his granddaughter, Christina Temples. He is survived by his loving family, 2 sons, Arthur Temples (Jo Ellen) and Donnie Temples; a daughter, Debbie Temples Prewitt (Carl);2 brothers, William I. Temples and Tyrone Temples; grandchildren, Kim Davis (Jeff), Kerri Soderlund (Josh), Mandy Mitchell (Shea), and Tracy Zielke (Jeff); and 9 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 1:00 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with visitation from 11 AM till service time. Burial will be in Jefferson Memorial Gardens. Rev. Bobby Irwin will officiate services.
