Floyd Martin Hendrix, Sr., 88 of Birmingham, passed away on December 15, 2020. He was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, -Margaret E. Hendrix. He is survived by his sons, Floyd “Rick” Hendrix, Jr., Scott Hendrix (Cindy); daughter, Jan Hendrix Brady (Bobby); six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and many relatives and friends. Floyd was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and he served in The Friendship Sunday School Class and sang with the Chancel Choir. He retired, after working for Westinghouse Electric Corporation for 25 years as a Service Sales Engineer. He was a former member and past Master of Central Park Masonic Lodge No. 808 and later transferred to Shades Valley Lodge No. 829, where he was awarded his 50 year service pin from The Grand Lodge. He was a 33 degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of the Zamora Shrine Temple. He lived by the principles taught of Free Masonry. He will truly be missed by all who knew him and loved him. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 21, 2020 at Elmwood Chapel Funeral Home with a graveside service following at 2:00 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, make memorial donations to Trinity United Methodist Church.
