Born to Renfro and Lily McBride in Camp Hugh, Alabama on June 23, 1925, Floyd was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. After meeting Elaine in St. Augustine, Florida, Elaine and Floyd married and eventually moved to Birmingham, Alabama where they raised their three children, Tommy, Linda and Coleen. Floyd was deeply loved by family and friends. He was an avid fisherman both freshwater and saltwater. He loved to watch his grandkids play softball and baseball. Floyd and Elaine loved to catch episodes of the Price is Right and never missed a broadcast of an Atlanta Braves’ game. Floyd proudly served his country as a member of The United States Marines Corps. He was a WWII veteran and a Purple Heart recipient. Our granddaddy will be dearly missed by us all.
