Frances Joann Cole

Frances JoAnn Cole passed away on December 29, 2025, at the age of 93. She was born on February 8, 1932. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Ashville, AL. She enjoyed gardening, Alabama football, cooking, traveling, fishing, and camping.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Augusta Reynolds; brothers, Thomas and Tinker Reynolds; sister, Barbara Fowler; her husband, Dempsey Cole; and her granddaughter, Brandi Cole.

JoAnn is survived by her son, Mike Cole (Darlene); her daughter, Jana Neal (Rick); son, Jeff Cole; her grandchildren, Jake Neal (Melissa), Andi Neal, Holly Cole, Michelle Cole, and Joseph Cole; her great grandchildren, Max, Charlie, and Sam Neal, Eden Beasley, and Camron Daniels.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her honor to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital.

A visitation will be held at Ridout's Trussville Chapel, located at 1500 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, Alabama, 35235, on Friday, January 2, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life service will take place at the same venue, beginning at 4:00 pm.
