November 30, 1936 – October 26, 2016 Frances Blackwell Purvis of Morris, AL passed away on October 26, 2016. Frances was selfless, a great listener, and an elegant lady who loved her family and took care of everyone. Frances is survived by her husband, Melvin E. Purvis; her daughter Karen Purvis Harris (Ed), her sons Craig Steven Purvis and Melvin Timothy Purvis; her grandchildren John Blake Harris, Heather Nicole Harris, Eric Edward Harris, Brooke Marie Harris, Candice Marie Purvis, Brittany Nicole Purvis, Jessica Lelonnie Purvis Coursey (CJ); her great-grandchildren Hailey Nicole Pike, Hannah Renee Pike, Logan Chele Patillo, Katie Marie Chandler, Cody James Purvis, and Addilyn Grace Coursey; her sisters Margaret Frederick and Gail Wiggin (George); and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Elmwood Chapel Funeral Home, 800 Dennison Avenue SW Birmingham, AL with a Celebration of Life to follow at 2:00 p.m. Burial at Elmwood Cemetery.
