

Fauntleroy, Frances Rollins, 92, of Birmingham, AL, passed away October 1, 2012. She was a member of St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Hoover, AL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wilson Fauntleroy and sister, Brodie Rollins Fitzhugh of King George, Virginia. She is survived by her son, Tom Fauntleroy of Laguna Nigel, CA and daughter, Barbara Young (John) of Birmingham, granddaughter Stacy (Owen) Harris, and great grandsons, Bailey and Nathan, of Pell City, AL. She was born April 18, 1920 in Passapatanzy, Virginia, to Lilly Hargest and Horace Dabney Rollins, graduated from King George High School in Virginia and Strayer Business College in Washington, D.C. She worked at Litton Industries in College Park, Md., where she retired after 22 years. After retirement, she and her husband moved to Hudson, FL, where she became quite proficient in ceramics, making lamps, Christmas trees, churches and vases. She was also proficient in crocheting making afghans, vests, and ponchos. When her husband of over 50 years passed away, she moved to Birmingham to be closer to her family. There will be a visitation at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 from 5-7 PM. There will be a service at Huntt Funeral Home in Waldorf, MD beginning at 10 AM on Thursday, October 11, 2012 and a graveside service will be held at Maryland Veterans Cemetery in Cheltenham at 11 AM.
