Barnett, Frank W., III, age 77 of Birmingham, AL passed away on December 22, 2010. He graduated from The University of Alabama and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Frank began his career with Southern Natural Gas, but his love for automobiles later led him to join the automotive industry where he remained for many years until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank W. Barnett, Jr. and Jeanne Ortstadt; brother, Blair Ortstadt.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Barnett; sisters-in-law, Jan (Ron) Thrasher and Sandy (Billy) Hodge; brother, Terry Ortstadt; nephews, Chris Busbin, Alex Thrasher; brother-in-law, Frank Mauldin.
His love for life inspired his family and friends!
Visitation will be Sunday, December 26, 2010 from 5 PM until 7 PM at Ridout's Trussville Chapel. A graveside service will be held Monday, December 27, 2010 at 2 PM at Springville City Cemetery.
