
CLEM, FRANK WESLEY, age 77, A loving, husband and father went to be with his Lord and Savior as he passed away in his home in Liberty Park, Monday December 31, 2012. He was preceded in death by his brother, Charles E. Clem. He leaves behind a wife of 57 years, Barbara Clem; a younger brother, Johnny Clem; and three daughters, Donna Jones, Darlene Hinson, and Denise Black; and a host of nieces and nephews. His family continues to grieve their firstborn daughter and her husband, Diane & Joey Cannon, both of whom went to be with the Lord in September 2011. Their son Jason Cannon, his wife Lauren and their beautiful son Luke Cannon will continue to represent hope and joy for the family. As a grandfather, Mr. Clem cherished time with his eight grand children, Jason Cannon, Meredith Black, Mitchell Jones, Leigh Ellen Black, Rachael Jones, John Michael Hinson, Anna Claire Black, Matthew Hinson and 16 month old great grandchild Luke. Mr. Clem was known for his spirited sense of humor and his sons-in-law Barry Jones, Don Hinson and Bill Black experienced his love & laughter as the entire family gathered at his home this Christmas as had always been tradition. Though his health was greatly compromised, he continued to sell eye wear to independent drugstores throughout the state of Alabama. He enjoyed being a salesman and was an avid deer hunter all his life. His love and generosity will be greatly missed by his family and countless friends. His family will receive friends on Thursday, January 3, 2013 from 1-2 at Ridout’s Valley Chapel with the service beginning at 2 with Pastor Tim Evans officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Crest Cemetery.
