Frank Curtis Wall, Jr., age 89 of Hoover, Alabama, passed away August 16th after a brief illness. He is survived by his beloved wife, Ellen, and precious daughter, Linda. Also surviving are the Biederman's of Franklin, Tennessee and the Melton's of Hanceville, Alabama; cousins, Charlie Nesbitt and wife Jane, Steve Hayes and wife Carolyn; and Ann Hayes Brazeel and husband David. Preceding him in death a son, F.C. Wall, III; father Frank Curtis Wall; mother, Julia V. Wall, a sister Mary Ann (Mrs E.C) Biederman; grandparents, Frank Robinson Wall and Zella Calkins Wall and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Frank was an avid fisherman, camper, travelling to 49 of the 50 states and several countries. He was known for his loving kindness, gentleness, generosity and sense of humor. He was a member of Shades Crest Baptist Church. He supported foreign missions for Christ as Linda travelled to Honduras, Ukraine, Africa and India. He served the community as a director at Landmark Credit Union. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and was a 1957 Graduate of Auburn University’s School of Engineering. He retired from U.S Steel. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 20, 2018 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Elmwood Chapel Funeral Home with a Celebration of Frank’s life to follow at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Building Fund at Shades Crest Baptist Church, 452 Park Ave, Hoover, Al 35226.
