I always enjoyed being with him.  He always showed how much he cared about the 117th, the people, and me.   TDY”s were always a joy with him.  Always kinda grumpy but always so much fun.   I miss you my friend.

On behalf of myself and the management and staff of Elmwood Chapel, thank you for allowing me the honor of serving your family.  We will always be here to help you and will keep you all in our thoughts and prayers.  

Condolences to the Covington family. It was an honor to serve with Colonel NoG.  He loved the 117th and enjoyed getting on to the “Delta Boys”.  Many memories especially TDYs and golfing.  He would ask me questions on how to improve his golf.  I would respond “don’t stand to close to the ball after you hit it.” Well you can guess what he said to me.  Hit em straight NoG ! You’ll be missed.

Our heartfelt condolences to Danny’s family and his many friends. In 1993, Danny and I drove out to California together for the 135-conversion training and spent many an hour talking about flying, detailing cars and looking forward to returning home to Alabama. Danny is a major reason I have very fond memories of flying with the 117th.  My flying career would not have been the same without NoG.  He will be missed.  

Thanks Colonel for your service and mentor ship at the 117th. Always Enjoyed our time together... the great TDYs, and our conversations about F4s and F111s and Auburn football. Best memory was you driving to my wedding in Germany and trying to hang with the professional  Erdinger drinkers😆. You’ll be missed and go down in 117th history🍻

Been missing you Danny since you left the BX. You always tried to make people think you were a grumpy old bear - with a little effort, one could see thru that. Rest in peace Grumpy - miss you!

Brenda and I send our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends.  I have a multitude of memories of Danny and shared deployments to Key West, Goose Bay et al.  We argued incessantly and laughed heartedly, as stubborn, opinionated aviators should do.  Many great memories and we will miss you No-G.  Wishing you tail winds and clear skies as you fly west, my friend.
