Fred C. Smith, age 75, of Birmingham, AL passed away on June 30, 2018. Affectionately known as "Pop", he retired from Jim Burke Automotive. He loved fishing, working in his garden, and spending time with his grandkids and great-grandkids. Fred was born Dec. 2, 1942 to the late Ira and Ruby Nell Smith. Fred was preceded in death by his wife Mary Smith and his brother Jerry Smith. He is survived by his sister Sandra; kids Wade McDaniel and Tara Smith; grandkids Brittany Daniels, Tayla Smith, and Andrew Nevin; and great-grandkids Khloe, Jayden, Colby, Landen, and Kylee. Visitation Thurs., July 5 from 1-2 pm, Service at 2 pm at Pawnee Baptist Church.
