George Quick, age 73, of Springville, Alabama passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023 after a long battle with cancer. George retired in 1999 after 28 years with Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Miriam Quick; brothers, Dale Richards, Doug Richards, Terry Quick; and sister, Freida Wood. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Vicki Quick; daughter, Kelley Burttram (Nathan); son, Matt Quick (Chelsea); grandchildren, Rob Burttram, Izzy Burttram, Taylor Quick, and Carson Quick, as well as many other family members.
A visitation for George will be held Tuesday, September 26, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Ridout's Trussville Chapel, 1500 Gadsden Hwy, Birmingham, AL 35235, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 PM. Interment will be at Forest Crest Cemetery in Irondale.
