George was a wonderful caring person, He always had time to lend a ear and actually listen, I am so glad I got to speak to him recently, if only for a few minutes, He was my patient at the dentist office for many years, last time we spoke he said keep in touch! Rest in peace my friend, Tina Shelton, aka Dr. Walter Thomas office!

To Liudmyla, Lewis and family,
George was one of the best. I had the pleasure of working with George and of knowing him for 24 years. He truly cared about his family, his friends and people in general. He would let no one get between himself and his UFCW members. He spent most of his adult life fighting for working men and women. He was someone who always had your back.
George was a larger than life man. It is hard to believe he is gone, he was loved and he will be missed by many.

Served with George for many years as a Tres Dias (TD) member here in Birmingham,AL. The best memories come from George serving as Rector in Ukraine where he asked me to to go with him and serve as his Back Up Rector. We spent about 10 days there and had many long conversations about how Tres Dias had changed our lives, and how our faith in God had grown through the community and the experience Many nights we would talk until 2:00 AM in the morning about our spiritual experiences and journey and how we wanted to introduce others to the weekend encounter.

Just a week ago, in the midst of his struggling with Covid, we were discussing making another trip to Ukraine to serve the community there again, as members of that Team.

Thank you George for your leadership and service. Per our agreement if I become a Rector again you will be my Back Up Rector! God will workout the details!

Love you brother!

George volunteered to sponsor me to attend a Tres Dias weekend in September of 2009. He had only met me when I helped with a Kids Crusade at his church. He was so thoughtful and I will always be grateful to him for introducing me to that community. I will miss seeing him at the campground.
