Gerald Shirley

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Helen W. Shirley; stepdaughter, Rita Wall Wilson (Barry); grandson, Reid Wilson; sisters, Billy Jean Dickinson and Jeannette (Ed) Rohrbach.

He was born in Moffat, AL. He graduated from Oak Grove High School. Gerald was a WWII veteran in the US Army. He was a member of the Oak Grove Masonic Lodge. He retired from CSX Railroad after 43 years.

A celebration of Gerald's life will be Wednesday Jan. 18, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. at Ridout's Trussville Chapel with visitation one hour prior to service. Graveside service will follow at Forest Crest Cemetery.

Thanks to his special nurses, Christy, Sequoia and Barbara and aids Jessica and Regina and niece, Melody for the loving care they gave him.
