Helen Louise Hayes, 88 of Cropwell, AL, formerly of Birmingham, passed away on March 19, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest E. Hayes Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Adams, son-in-law, David Adams; sister-in-law, Grace Clenney. She graduated from Jefferson-Hillman Hospital School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse. She was employed at Jefferson-Hillman Hospital, UAB Hospital, and retired from Stockham Valves and Fittings as an industrial nurse. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Birmingham, Alabama. Visitation will be Friday, March 21, 2014 from 5 PM until 7 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 11 AM at Forest Hill Cemetery.
