

The funeral for Henry Paulson who died March 31, 2012, will be Monday, April 9th, at 11 am at Holy Infant of Prague Catholic church in Trussville, AL. Rev. Bill Lucas officiating. Burial will be in Burningtree Memorial Gardens in Decatur, AL. with Rideouts of Trussville directing. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10 to 11 am at the church. Graveside prayers will be around 2:30pm in Decatur.
Mr. Paulson died at the age of 88 at Eastview HealthCare Center in Birmingham, AL. He was born on March 29, 1924 in Warsaw, Poland to Ignacy Paulson and Felicia Rankievicz Paulson. He escaped from the Germans in 1944, made his way to England where he served in the Polish Army until the end of the war, then emigrated to the United States in 1950 with the aid of a sponsorship of a woman who had lost her son, a pilot, in the war. He graduated from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in 1958 with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and later an M.B.A. from UAH. Mr. Paulson retired from Monsanto, in Decatur, AL., after 25 years of service, in 1985. He then retired again from Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, AL. after 10 years of service. He moved to Birmingham, AL. after his wife of 45 years, Marguerite Paulson died, in 2002.
Survivors include a daughter, Renee Youngblood (Phil) with grandchildren Amy and John Youngblood of Trussville, AL., another daughter, Diane Henderson of Bridgeport, Conn., and a son, Ed Paulson of Alpharetta, Ga.
The family requests memorials be made to the Holy Infant of Prague Building Fund.
