Herbert H. Palmer, age 89, of Birmingham went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 16, 2017. Mr. Palmer is preceded in death by his parents, Clover and Cora Lee Palmer, three brothers Harrison, Joe, Horace and two sisters, Elizabeth and Iva.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years Avis Jean Palmer; two daughters Sheila Hurst and Wanda Meadows (Larry); four granddaughters and seven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Palmer was a member of Huffman Church of Christ.
Visitation will be Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel at 12:30 with the funeral service to follow at 1:30. Interment will be at Forest Crest Cemetery.
