Howard B. Johnson, loving husband, father, and grandfather, had his heavenly birthday on Dec 5, 2015. He was born in March 1929 in Munising, MI. He served in the Army in Germany during the Korean conflict and had a career as a civil engineer with Chicago Bridge & Iron. He was a kind and quiet man of strong faith. Survivors include his wife Christian, daughters Heather Land (Brian Tielking) and Joy Martin (Rob), grandchildren McKenzie Land, Nealy and Dyer Martin, sister Shirley Lopez (Walt), McKenzie’s father Tom Land, and many special friends and extended family. In lieu of flowers, make donations to Southminster Presbyterian Church, Children’s Harbor, Paralyzed Veterans America, or Disabled American Veterans. Memorial service followed by visitation Friday, December 11, 2015 at 3 p.m. Southminster Presbyterian Church in Vestavia.
