Jim was born on July 6th, 1942 to James Edward and Lillian Irene Armstrong in Birmingham, Alabama.
Jim was a Dental Technician for most of his life. A trade he learned from his father. He enjoyed watching car racing, old cars, especially Cadillacs, the casino, and was an avid fan of Alabama football.
Jim was preceded in death by both his parents, sister Irene Hamilton, and brother Bobby Armstrong. He is survived by his sister Ruth Armstrong, sons Jim Armstrong III (Amy), Scott Armstrong (Deanna), grandchildren Savanna, Michael, and Austin. Five Great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and friends.
A graveside service will be held on his birthday Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Oneonta, Alabama at 2:00 in the afternoon.
