COMPTON, JAMES “JIM” L., age 71 of Talladega, passed away Monday, March 25, 2019. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Marie Compton; sons, Clay Watts (Sherry) and Chris Compton (Tawnya); sister, Barbara Thomas; sister-in-law, Geneva Alverza; grandchildren, Ally Turner (Charlie), Tyler Watts (Brooke), Kaitlyn Handley (Brian), Kayla Watts, Dylan Watts, Amber Compton and Heather Compton; great-grandchildren, Millie Handley, Hadlyn Turner and Emersyn Handley. Jim owned and operated Compton Sales and Service for over 30 years. His family will celebrate his life on Thursday, March 28, 2019 from 1-2 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with his service beginning at 2:00. Burial will follow at Coosa Valley Church of God Cemetery in Cropwell.
