James Ira Deese of Pinson, Alabama passed away on Monday, February 22, 2021 at the age of 81. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at Marvins Chapel Cemetery ( Pinson United Methodist Church) beginning at 2:00pm.

We never knew when James would appear. One day he would just drive up. He almost always brought some obscure musical recording for us to listen to. Always enjoyed those visits. We would drink a little wine and smoke a cigarette and just talk about life. My dogs loved him.
He loved his daughters, very proud of them. We talked about being a father often.
I’ll miss you, Jimmy.

Oh Jimmy as we called you. Shall miss you!!! So many wonderful times together sharing tales of your adventures and ours. You had such a rare interest in different cultures and people. God speed to your home in heaven.

Jimmy was a wonderful person and 1st cousin. He would come to mine and Leesa's place of work to see us many times, when he was in Cullman. We shared a lot of ancestry history when he would visit. He will truly be missed. Praying for his family as they all go through this time of grieving.
