James Michael Hudson

HUDSON, JAMES MICHAEL Mr. James Michael Hudson, age 68, passed away on January 2, 2011. Born in Birmingham, AL, Mr. Hudson grew up in Cullman and had made his home in Birmingham for the past 41 years. After graduation from Northeast University in Monroe, LA, he practiced accounting and had been working for Western since 1999. He was a member of Pinson's First Baptist Church. Mr. Hudson was preceded in death by his parents, Herman Hudson and Trixie Childers Hudson of Cullman, AL. He is survived by Lynn S. Hudson, his loving wife for 47 wonderful years; his son Derek Michael Hudson (Candi) of Aurora, CO; his daughter, Dawn Nelms (Barry) of Hayden, AL; six granddaughters, Nikki Hudson, Brittany Hudson, Casey Hudson, Kallyna Hudson, Rachel Nelms, and Haylee Nelms; and two brothers, Charles Herman, Hudson (Patty) of Scottsboro, AL and William Lenard Hudson (Phyllis) of Atlanta, GA. There will be a graveside service at Sunrise Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Pinson, AL at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 6th. Officiating will be Rev. David Autry, pastor of First Baptist Church in Pinson, and Rv. Johnny Kilgore of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Trussville. Visitation will be Wednesday night, January 5th from 5 to 7 p.m. at Ridout's Funeral Home in Trussville. If you would like, instead of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association . Ridout's Funeral Home will be in charge of funeral arrangements.
