

He was preceded in death by his parents Angelo Dimitrios Likis and Georgia Johnson Likis, his beloved wife of 40 years, Doris Likis, and siblings Anna Stappas and Alex Likis.
He is survived by his daughter Angela Leak (Dan), his son Michael Likis (Melanie), and grandchildren Andrew Leak (Courtney), Alex Leak (fiancée Delaney Eber) and Laura Elizabeth Likis.
Jimmy was an avid car enthusiast and a longtime member of the Dixie Vintage Auto Club where he served as treasurer for many years. He shared his love of automobiles with his son, Michael.
He enjoyed a 30-year career as a Vice President and loan officer at SouthTrust Bank, where he impacted many lives through his sound financial guidance and his encouragement of others to pursue new business opportunities.
A lifelong member of Holy Trinity- Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Cathedral, he will be remembered for his generosity, steadfast faith, and the joy he brought to all.
The family would like to extend special thanks to his devoted caregivers Inelle Lee, Jamemika Golson and Dianne Ford, who faithfully cared for him over the past several years, providing comfort and dignity while ensuring he could continue attending church and visiting his many cherished friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in his memory to Holy Trinity Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
Funeral services are Thursday, April 30, 2026, at Holy Trinity Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Cathedral. Visitation from10:00-11:00, funeral service at 11:00. A graveside burial will follow immediately at Elmwood cemetery. Family and friends are warmly invited to a makaria luncheon at the Cathedral following the graveside service.
