He is survived by his two sons, Mark (Glenda) Luke and Keith (Tracy) Luke; grandchildren, Justin (Lindsey) Luke, Carrie (Justin) Hefner, Katie (Nathan) Hozey, David (Ashley) Galbraith and Daniel (Addie) Galbraith; 6 great grandchildren, Lynlee Jean Hefner, Mackenzie Ann Hefner, Noah Douglas Galbraith, Fisher Scott Galbraith, Shepherd Burk Galbraith and Solomon James Hozey; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives. James was born and raised in South Georgia. He served in the United States Army from 1954 - 1956. He was an avid Alabama and NASCAR fan.
Family will receive friends September 1, 2018 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Ridout’s Elmwood Chapel. Graveside service will follow at 11:00 at Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers make a donation to the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
