Mize, James A. Sr. "Pop Pop", age 64 of Clay, AL has gone to be at rest with the Lord on March 30, 2011. He attended the First Baptist Church of Pinson. He was a graduate of Samford University, a Vietnam Era veteran and a retired mortgage banker. He was preceded in death by his parents, James W. and Virginia C. Mize and his dog Teddy.
Mr. Mize is survived by his wife of 43 years, Rebecca Mize; sons, Allen Mize and his wife Shelly and Andy Mize and his wife Erin; grandchildren, Carson and Macy Mize; Aunts, Marjorie (Joe) Johnston, Annette Taylor, Ivene Brantley and Margie Chasteen; numerous cousins and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 2, 2011 from 12 PM until service time at 2 PM at Ridout's Trussville Chapel. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to, National Federation of the Blind, Magic City Chapter, P.O. Box 310127 Birmingham, AL 35231.
He's finally at peace.
