

Janice was born on May 30th, 1941 in Birmingham, Alabama and was a graduate of West End High School class of 1959. After moving to Orlando in 1962, Jan began working as a paralegal and later went on to obtain her degree from Valencia Community College. She loved her work and remained in that profession before retiring in 2015. Janice enjoyed gardening, traveling, and was an avid reader.
Janice was a powerful woman of GOD and a shining example to her family and friends of what it means to be a faithful servant, devoted wife, loving mother, trusted sister, and truest friend. Her faith in Christ helped her face her challenges with dignity and grace. A role model for all.
Janice is preceded in death by her mother, Louise Edmison; her father, Harry Gardner; her husband, Carl Drake Sandlin and her beloved son, Steven Gardner Sandlin. She is survived by her son David Clark Sandlin; her daughter, Shannon Elizabeth Sammons and her son in law Gerald Sammons; her daughter Dana Diane Sandlin and her son in law Jimmy Schnabele. Janice is also survived by her grandchildren, Nicki Jones, Haleigh Sandlin, and Joshua Sammons; Great granddaughters Avery and Maliah Jones; sisters Linda Gwin and Karen Stancil and a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews.
