Janice Cooke Taylor of Birmingham, AL passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at home with her loving family by her side. Janice was born on August 30, 1939 and graduated from Hewitt Trussville High School in 1957. She is a member of Palmerdale United Methodist Church and was retired from Parkway Christian School where she taught for many years. Janice was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Lucille Cooke and her son, Barry Taylor. She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, James E. Taylor; her son, Brian Taylor; a brother, Butch Cooke (Diane); her granddaughter, Kala Taylor; and great grandchildren, Kaylnn Taylor and Grayson Letcher.
Services will be held on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel at 12 noon with visitation beginning at 10 AM. Interment will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens in Pinson, AL. Rev. Herman Pair will officiate services.
