Jean Norrell Atchison, 88, of Union, KY, passed away Monday, January 21, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Edgewood, KY. Mother, Mother-In-Law, lover and friend, Jean was a giver to all and never met a stranger. She had a passion for life and lived every moment always with a positive attitude and sense of optimism. She had a strong faith, but considered herself to be a very spiritual rather than a religious person. She loved nature and animals and as an artist found both to be her favorite subjects. For those that knew her, they were blessed for she was so full of love and kindness and everyone was better for knowing her. She was a student of art at the Baker Hunt Foundation. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Eugene Atchison and one son Jimmy Atchison. She is survived by two daughters Jackie Hodges and Frances Atchison and one son-in-law Tim Hodges. Rev. Jim Fant will officiate graveside services Monday, January 28, 2013 at 2:00 at Forest Hill Cemetery.
