She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas E. Hancock; her parents, SJ and Freda (Gideon) Simon; her sister and brother law, Rose Marie (Simon) and Ross Paul Gagliano.
She is survived by her nieces and nephew, Marialana Gagliano Watkins, Joanna Gagliano Jones, Paul (Dawn) Gagliano; her great-nephews and great-niece, Brandon Ross Watkins, Colby William (Rebecca)Watkins, Zachary LaGrande (Hannah) Jones, Reagen Elizabeth Gagliano, and Ross Paul Gagliano; and her great-great nieces\nephews, Kennedy Rose Watkins, Mary Kathryn Jones, Luke Jacob Jones, Elliot Simon Watkins and Madelyn Rose Jones. She is also survived by her dearest friend, Juanita Caldwell.
She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered for her fun stories and her remarkable knowledge of the lives and history of all of her family members.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to her beloved caregivers, Molly Davis and Cynthia Isom, whose loving care and compassion brought Jean Ann comfort.
Funeral services will be held at St Elias Maronite Catholic Church 836 8th Street South Birmingham, AL on Tuesday, September 23rd with visitation at 9:00am followed by Mass at 10:00am.
