

Jeffrey Lynn Clay, 53, of Bessemer, Alabama, passed away on February 16, 2026. Born on August 30, 1972, in Union City, Tennessee, Jeffrey was the beloved son of Carolyn F. Clay and the late Robert Clay Sr.
Jeffrey graduated from McAdory High School in 1990 and pursued further studies at Shelton State College for a few years. A dedicated and hardworking individual, he spent the last several years of his career at Motion Industries, where his efforts and commitment were deeply valued.
A kind and loving man, Jeffrey had a remarkable ability to connect with everyone he met. His family was the cornerstone of his life, and he cherished them deeply. Above all else, his beloved daughter Savannah Clay was his pride and joy—his world revolved around her. Jeffrey’s devotion to Savannah was unparalleled; she was not only his daughter but also his greatest source of happiness.
Jeffrey found spiritual guidance and community at West Concord Church of Christ in Concord, Alabama. His faith was an important part of his life and provided him with strength and comfort.
He is survived by his mother, Carolyn F. Clay; his brother, Robert Clay (Gina); his cherished daughter, Savannah Clay; and his nephew, Austin Clay. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Clay Sr.
Jeffrey will be remembered as a kind-hearted soul who loved deeply and worked tirelessly for those he cared about. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May Jeffrey’s legacy of love and kindness bring comfort to all who mourn him.
