

LOCKRIDGE, JERRY, age 78 of Trussville, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Mose Lockridge; brother, Harold Lockridge; son-in-law, Matthew Murdoch; and nephew, Ed Lockridge. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Judy Wright Lockridge; daughters, Kala L. Murdoch and her children, Mara Murdoch Jones (Michael) and Whitney Murdoch, Kristi Tolbert (Craig) and their children, Trent and Sam Tolbert; step-children, Mark Hartley (Sherry) and their children, Savannah and Alex Campbell, Tanya Lee (Jay) and their children, Zack, Nick and Brooke Lee; niece, Katrina Wimpee (Randy); and nephew, Harold Lockridge (Linda). Jerry was a member of East Lake Methodist Church. He owned Lockridge Realty and was a member of the Birmingham Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. Prior to real estate, he was an agent with Life of Virginia. Jerry was a loving husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed summers at the lake house on Logan Martin Lake. He looked forward to his Tuesday luncheon with the Romeo Club (retired old men eating out). He loved fishing, golfing and Alabama Football. His family will receive friends on Saturday, May 2, 2015 from 3-5 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with a memorial service beginning at 5 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crossing Paths Animal Rescue because of the love for his faithful companion, his Morkie, Rosie.
