JESSE CLEM BURTTRAM SR

October 12, 1924June 28, 2013

BURTTRAM, JESSE “CLEM”, age 88, of Ashville, passed away Friday, June 28, 2013. He was preceded in death by his parents, Irene and Fitzhugh Burttram; and brothers, Sam and Floyd Burttram. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Elinor “Ellie” Burttram; son, Jesse “Bud” Burttram; daughters, Linda Burttram, Debra “Suzy” Burttram and Shelia Duncan; step-son, Bill Lattimore (Janie); step-daughters, Kathy Robinson and Cindy Lavigne; brothers, Charles Burttram (Lou) and Fitzhugh Burttram; sister-in-law, Beatsy Burttram; grandchildren, Adam Burttram (Jenny), Jessica Burttram, Charee Duncan, Andy Burttram, Ryan Burttram, Kait Robinson, Emily Robinson and Sam Robinson; great-grandson, Jason Hill; and several nieces and nephews. Clem was a Navy Veteran of WWII and retired from Bellsouth. He was a member of The American Legion Post 170, member and Past Master of Ashville Lodge 186, and member and Past Patron of the Ashville Eastern Star chapter and Ragland chapter 150. His family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 from 1-2 PM at Pleasant Hill UMC in Springville with the service beginning at 2. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity or church.
