Jesse Thompson Nance

Jesse grew up in Midfield, AL. In his youth and as a young adult Jesse was drawn to music. He enjoyed playing the drums and spending time with his beloved friends and family.

Jesse was a believer in Christ and professed his faith on July 7, 2005. He attended various churches through the years including Wilkes Baptist Church in Midfield, Garywood Assembly of God, Concord Baptist and Midfield Church of God. Jesse was a gentle soul with a kind disposition, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Nance, a brother, Stevey Smith and a sister, Julie Nance; his grandparents, Gertrude and Cephus Thompson, and Thelma East and Ray East.

Jesse is survived by his mother, Tina Nance; his brothers, Paul Nance and Leland Johnson; his sisters, Nicki Nance and Jacque Burkhalter. Jesse also leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Ashley, Kadence, Mercy, Emily, Violet, J.J., Vance, and Matthew. Also left to cherish his memory are his aunts and uncles, Gena, Ray, Sheryl and Floyd, and a host of cousins and extended family.

A celebration of Jesse’s life will be held at Bethel Baptist Church in Pleasant Grove, AL on Monday, September 21st at 6:00 p.m.
