Josephine "Jo Ann" Falletta, 78, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 4th, 2021. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Falletta III, and parents Jake and Josephine Biviano and Sister, Rosemary Biviano. She is survived by Son, Anthony Falletta IV (Amy); Daughters, Michele Durham (Colin); Dana Abercrombie (John); Grandsons Andrew, Joe and Tyler Abercrombie; Sister, Gloria Nero (Johnnie), and Brother, Jake Biviano III (Randy).
Jo Ann was a fiercely loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a devout Catholic who lived a life of principles and honor. Jo Ann spent most of her life as an Oncology nurse at St. Vincent's caring for and providing comfort to her patients and their families. If she knew you, then she worried and prayed for you. She loved Alabama football even though her three children graduated from Auburn. She is reunited with her husband, Tony, and watching over her family from Heaven.
Visitation will be at Johns Ridout's Elmwood Chapel on Monday, February 8, 2021 at 10 am with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11 am. Services will be livestreamed on the Elmwood Chapel Facebook page.
