John Robert Cefalu Sr., of Pinson, AL, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 7, 2026, at the age of 83. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Before retirement, he served as an Executive Vice President for University Federal Credit Union. His greatest enjoyment after retirement came from watching and keeping up with his great grandchildren in their sports and activities.
Mr. Cefalu is survived by his daughter, Christy Dyle (Mark); daughter-in-law, Debbie Cefalu; grandchildren, Danielle Ratliff (Ken), Josh Dyle, and Johnny Cefalu; three great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary Jane Tanner and Eva Hynds; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rosemarie Cefalu; his son, John Robert Cefalu Jr.; and his grandson, Jonathan Sciandra.
Visitation will be held at Holy Infant of Prague in Trussville on Friday, September 11th from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. with Funeral Mass beginning at 2:00 p.m. A committal service will immediately follow at Elmwood Cemetery. Father Holloway will preside over the services.
