age 61, of Ashville, AL went to his Heavenly Home on August 10, 2016 after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Duncan and Jeanette Cross. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Cheryll Massey Cross; daughters, Kelcie D. Cross and Alecia Keller (Randy); grandson, Clayton; sisters, Charlotte Matthews (Tony) and Sharon Cross; brother James Cross (Trudy) and several nieces, nephews, and special friends. A special thanks to Oasis Hospice, especially his nurse Barbara Brewer. John was a faithful and loving husband and father as well as an active member of First Baptist Ashville. His family will receive friends on Saturday, August 13th from 10-11 AM with the service following at First Baptist Ashville. Burial will follow at Bethlehem Baptist in Gallant.
