FOSTER, JOHN PAUL, age 91 of Cedar Bluff formerly of Birmingham, passed away Sunday, January 12, 2014. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Foster Cox; and son-in-law, Dr. Scott Erwood. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Beverly Jean Haithcock Foster; son, John Robert “Bob” Foster; daughters, Patricia “Patti” Cox Erwood, Peggy Lynn Brauchle (Troy) and Amy Elizabeth Patterson (Dean); brother, Hubert L. Foster, Jr. (Lunnie); sister, Mary Brooker; 11 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. Paul was a member of The Lion’s Club and East Lake Methodist Church where he was very active for many years. He served in the Marine Corps. during WWII and graduated from Auburn University in 1947. Paul was employed by Anderson Electric/Square D. Company for 40 years. There will be a graveside service on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Forest Hill Cemetery beginning at 1 PM.
