Mr. Hutto passed away after a seven year battle with cancer. He was a life long resident of Birmingham, Alabama. He was a graduate of Ramsay High School and the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he obtained a B.S. degree in Business with a major in Economics. He retired from BellSouth after 39 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Elizabeth Byrum Hutto; daughter Teresa Hutto Jenkins, son John David Hutto, Jr. (Kursten); grandchildren Madison Taylor Lee Hutto, Dylan Reed Hutto and Ryan Michael Jenkins; and brother James Hutto (Carolyn). Graveside Services will be held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery with the family receiving friends one hour prior to service at Elmwood Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
