John Delane Luno Jr, aka The Pinson Cowboy, age 66 of Pinson AL passed away early Tuesday morning July 28, 2020. He fought hard to stay with us on the earthly plain, but in the end God showed him what a lasting legacy he left and had his Log Cabin Mansion ready to move in.

I went to Erwin High School with John although he was a year behind me we had P.E. together and played football together I also remember him as manager of Zayre’s In Huffman. I considered John a great friend and am very sad I cannot attend his funeral but will remember him all my life.

John and I only knew each other for a short while but true to his nature and mine we love a good joke and his smile was contagious.

I feel that the world is a lesser place without him, John I hope that this young cowboy will be able to hold down the horses now that you're gone.

Ride free my friend.

I first met John when he was my Store Manager of Office Depot. He was a great manager and friend. He always listened to any situation you may have had. We continued to stay friends through the years. I really enjoyed seeing him at our reunion of friends from Office Depot about 7 years ago. We kept in touch after that. He was a sweet man who cared about everyone. I will miss him dearly. R.I.P my friend. Until we meet again. Sandy Bolton
