I was sorry to hear of the loss of my friend Mussell and my Military buddy (RIP).

I am saddened by the death of John. Those of us who were classmates with John at Handley H.S. in Roanoke knew him as "MUSCLES" because he was short and very slim. We played basketball together as well as baseball. He grew up in Rock Mills, a small mill town 5 miles from Roanoke, AL. Everybody in Rock Mills played basketball - boys and girls!
He did not have the build for football. Best of all we had a lot of laughs because of his infectious good humor. I will cherish his memory and miss talking with him.FM CAUTHEN ATHENS
