PETTUS, JOHN F., age 66 Odenville, passed away Tuesday, September 26, 2023. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Pettus. He is survived by his son, Jason Pettus (Nekita); daughter, Jaime Mathews (Alan); sisters, Dawn Pettus and Terri Colvin (Glenn); grandchildren, Harper Mathews, Hayden McCrory and Haylee McCrory; and several nieces and nephews. John grew up in East Lake and graduated from Banks High School. He worked for Cook’s Pest Control and was a Karate instructor. John loved to play the guitar, banjo and harmonica. His family will celebrate his life with visitation from 1-2 on Sunday, October 1, 2023 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with a memorial service beginning at 2:00.
