

Johnnie Lee Elmore went to be with her Lord the morning of April 28, 2018, surrounded by her devoted husband, son, sisters, and friends in her home in Bradenton, Florida. Her life was a remarkable journey of faith and determination, raised four children, and adored by many grandchildren. She was blessed with 50 years of devotion and companionship by her husband, Charles Elmore. She lived for adventure and travel, and fulfilled her bucket list to visit all 50 US states, and included Israel, England, Germany, Spain, and France among her travels. A devoted servant of Christ and a lifelong member of the Assemblies of God, she served her church as a Bible scholar, Sunday school teacher, and sang in the choir.
Johnnie Lee (Fuller) Elmore was born on April 4, 1933, in Birmingham, Alabama, to the late Mary Fuller and the late Trouse “Doc” Garret Fuller. She graduated from Aliceville High School in 1950. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles “Chuck” Edward Elmore, Jr.; and daughters, Katrina Kaiser and Cynthia Lindsey. Johnnie is survived by her son, Anthony Elmore; adopted daughter, Susan Baewer; daughter-in-law Anna Elmore; sisters, Marjorie Bailey and Phyllis Rayburn; grandchildren, E'lice White, Autumn Brazil, Mathew White, Zeinah Estrada, Zak Waliagha, Zane Davita, Razan Waliagha, Halie Lindsey, Joanna Lindsey; and great-grandchildren, Khaleb Burdette, Jacob Burdette, Naudia White, Kady Gollschneider, Koby Estrada, Ruby Brazil, Noah White, and Gracie Lindsey. Donations in Johnnie's name to Journey Assembly of God’s Food Pantry are welcome and appreciated. Friends and family members may attend the graveside service on Wednesday, May 2 from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. central time at Forest Crest Cemetery, 5730 US-78, Birmingham, Alabama, to be officiated by Senior Chaplin Greg Baewer.
Her church, Journey Assembly of God, will host a Celebration Service on May 12 at 3:30 p.m eastern time. Their address is 3855 Pro Am Ave E, Bradenton, FL 34203.
