Johnny E Pinkard

Johnny passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 16 surrounded by loving family. Johnny’s unwavering integrity and gentle kindness will be forever cherished and missed. He is preceded in death by his parents Ellis and Mary Pinkard, two sisters Joan Pinkard and Liz Finney and nephew Chuck Pinkard. Johnny is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Nancy Pinkard; Children Johnny Ellis Pinkard II; Joani Elizabeth Pinkard; Dana Felicia Vickers and son-in-law Marvin Haber Vickers III; two grandchildren Sophia Elise Vickers and Marvin Haber Reed Vickers; and God-daughter Lisa Sanford and her children Chelsey, Peyton and Parker; brother Charles Pinkard and his wife Barbara; brother Barry Pinkard and his wife Renee; and numerous special nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, please simply bless a charity of your choice this holiday season and lift the family up in prayer.

Johnny graduated from Georgia Tech and also served in Air National Guard. He served on the Cartersville School Board, was a Mason, and was an Officer and Director of the Lions Club. He retired a few years ago after a long career as Sales Manager with Cotton States Insurance Company.

There will be a visitation Sunday, November 19 at 2-4pm at Ridout’s Funeral Home in Trussville, AL. On Monday November 20, there will be visitation from 2:30 - 4:00pm at Freeman Harris Funeral Home in Rockmart, Ga. followed by a memorial service at 4:00pm.
