Joy Hood
August 27, 1931 – November 30, 2015
IN THE CARE OF
Mrs. Joy Smith Hood of Pinson, Alabama, age 84, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 30, 2015. She was a long time member of the 25th Avenue Baptist Church of Center Point, Alabama.
Joy was preceded in death by her husband Robert J. Hood; her parents Eddie and Mamie Smith; and eight brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her son Robert J. Hood II (Teresa) of Pinson, Alabama; daughter Patti Hood of Birmingham, Alabama; and one grandchild Chase Hamaker of Pinson, Alabama. Joy had many nieces, nephews, and family that she truly loved. She had a beautiful smile and a warm heart. She will be truly missed by everyone.
Visitation will be Wednesday December 2, 2015 at 6:00 PM at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. The funeral service will be at 1:00 PM Thursday from Ridout’s Trussville Chapel. Interment will follow in Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
