Joyce L. Jones

Joyce Lee Jones, a resident of Shelby County, formerly Tarrant Alabama, was born Jan. 20, 1931 in Birmingham Alabama. She went to be with her Lord on February 21, 2025. She attended Tarrant Rock Church and New Creation Fellowship. She was preceded in death by her husband, Byron Jones and her parents, Robert and Buel Blaich.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Ann (Alvin) Samples and son, Steven (Mona) Jones. Her grandchildren Craig (Krista) Samples, Ashley (Jerry) King, Robert (Bonnie) Jones, Mark (Hannah) Jones, John (Sade) Jones, Joy (Garrett) Bradshaw, Joshua (Jordan) Jones, and David Jones. Her great-grandchildren Hunter Samples, Tripp King, Chaney King, Finley Jones, Elias Pennington , Samantha Jones, Riley Jones, Gatlin Jones, Caleb Jones, Kaylie Bradshaw, Stetson Jones, Reid Bradshaw, and Remi Lee Jones.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to The Big Oak Ranch or your favorite charity.

There will be a Graveside service Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Hill Cemetery 431 60th Street North, Birmingham, AL 35212.

The family wants to thank Dennis and Marsha Parker for always being good neighbors and friends to our mother. We also want to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Hanceville Nursing and Rehab Center and Southern Care Hospice for their love and care for our mother.
